This is me and the boy. Aka my husband. My better half for sure.
He knows numbers, charts and logic. I know how to hot glue sequins, make a big mess in the kitchen and write about shenanigans. I have high aspirations involving crafts, cooking and creative writing…like one day competing in the Pinterst Olympics. If you have similar aspirations perhaps I’ll see you there.
I’m also thrifty. In order to save money during grad school I lived with roommates from Craigslist for three years straight. This wasn’t a good idea. But it did produce some good stories. Funny ones. I wrote them down into a memoir called, #RoommmateWanted. You can learn more about it here.
Now the boy is my roommate. His real name is CJ. He’s by far the best roomie I’ve had in a while. Our dog Bourbon also lives with us in our little house. We really like him.
We live in Louisiana, which I can barely spell. But Don’t be fooled. I am a TEXAS girl at heart. And Texas, my friends, is super easy to spell.
When I’m not busy with my pinterest adventures, I do my “real job.” I’m an Occupational Therapist. I work with kids (and adults sometimes) who have a variety of disabilities and help them improve. Sometimes they have a neuromuscular deficit, sometimes sensory and often it’s both. This is quite rewarding and I’m grateful for every child, parent and adult I get to interact with.
