Y’all. I cannot believe October is coming to an end! Baby Ray is nearing 6 MONTHS old! Those first few weeks were a crawl, but now time is flying!
Here’s a little update on what we’ve been up to:
Baby Ray is still LOVING daycare. Now that the weather is better, he’s really enjoying playing outside with his friends.
And group stroller rides
He has NOT been enjoying sleeping through the night. I’m SO hoping the sleep regression is over soon, because even Starbucks wears off after a few hours.
Last Friday was grandparents day. Unfortunately, Ray’s grandparents are pretty far away, but I represented them since somehow I was nominated room mom.
I’ve always wondered what “room mom” does, but basically you just get snacks for everyone and help the teacher tie balloons to babies feet for “activity time.”
Pretty sure I rocked it.
It was so cute to see all the babies watch the balloons move as they kicked! The grandparents and the babies loved it.
Don’t worry Grandparents, Ray crafted a little something for you, even if y’all couldn’t make it.
Isn’t he so thoughtful and cleaver?
The boy and I have both been working pretty hard…
on beating Super Mario World!
Normally, I totally judge people who waste time playing video games. But y’all. Be careful who you judge!
Because, oh the nostalgia oh Super Nintendo. How it takes me back to when I was like 7 playing at my cousins house. And I still got skills y’all.
Just kidding. I’m horrible. But who cares.
OK. For real. We have both been really busy with work, so having our new Classic Super Nintendo has been a fun break. And we’re so close to beating the entire game. We’ve already beat Bowser and are just working our way through Star World.
Stay tuned for our family costumes and baby Rays first Halloween! Also, Ray gets to try solids soon. He CAN’T wait!
Until then, here’s a quote from one of my favorite songs. I think its a good one to lead into Monday with:
“Let go my soul, and trust in Him.
The waves and wind still know His name.” – It is Well, by Kristene DiMarco
